I Congresso InsectERA 🦗
No passado dia 23 de outubro, nas instalações da @Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril, realizou-se o I Congresso InsectERA, com o tema dos Insetos como Ferramenta de Sustentabilidade.
O Congresso contou com a participação de mais de 200 congressistas e a publicação de 50 posters, resultado da submissão de 56 abstracts, de autores internos e externos da Agenda. Poderão ser consultados em www.insectera.pt/posters/.

1st InsectERA Congress 🦗
The 1st InsectERA Congress was held on 23 October at the Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism, with the theme of Insects as a Tool for Sustainability.
The Congress was attended by more than 200 participants and 50 posters were published, the result of 56 abstracts submitted by internal and external Agenda authors. They can be consulted at www.insectera.pt/posters/.
We would like to thank all the organization team and sponsors of the event. Special thanks to all the key speakers who made this World Edible Insect Day a day of learning and exchanging knowledge about this new insect bioindustrial sector in Portugal.

A Agenda Mobilizadora InsectERA, num evento organizado pela Agromais, dinamizou mais um workshop, desta vez dedicado aos fertilizantes orgânicos derivados de inseto (insect frass). Este evento teve ligar durante a Feira Nacional de Agricultura e teve o privilégio de contar com a presença do Professor Doutor Ivã Guidini Lopes, da Universidade de Agricultura ds Suecia (SLU), que expôs o seu trabalho e desenvolvimentos nestes produtos inovadores que estão a chegar ao mercado.
Mais uma vez, a #inovação aliada à #sustentabilidade, é um dos focos desta Agenda que visa desenvolver um novo setor bioindustrial em Portugal, colocando o nosso país na vanguarda mundial deste setor inovador.

In an event organised by Agromais, the InsectERA Mobilising Agenda organised another workshop, this time dedicated to organic fertilisers derived from insects (insect frass). This event took place during the National Agricultural Fair and had the privilege of being attended by Professor Ivã Guidini Lopes, from the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU), who presented his work and developments on these innovative products that are now coming onto the market.
Once again, #innovation combined with #Sustainability is one of the focuses of this Agenda, which aims to develop a new bioindustrial sector in Portugal, placing our country at the forefront of this innovative sector worldwide. #

The InsectERA Mobilising Agenda welcomed the President of the Portuguese Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and the Prime Minister, Dr Luís Montenegro, to the FNA24 stand, where they were able to show him how their visit the previous year made the cover of the Agenda's first biannual magazine, and to present the developments achieved during this year's work.

No sétimo dia de FNA24 a Agenda Mobilizadora Insectera organizou mais uma sessão de Show Cooking desta vez com a Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril (ESHTE) e a Quinta da Ribeirinha.
Na sessão Inovar a Gastronomia, o Chef Rui Mota e os alunos do primeiro ano de mestrado presentearam os espectadores com três iguarias pormenorizadamente desenvolvidas para conjugar sabores, nutrientes e texturas numa harmonização feita pelo Eng. Cesar Marques, Enólogo da Quinta da Ribeirinha, através fe uma cuidada seleção de vinhos.
Apesar da fasquia continuar a subir a cada sessão realizada espera-se que 2025 surpreenda com mais e melhores atividades de divulgação da Agenda, sendo o grande ano da InsectERA na FNA!

On the seventh day of FNA24, the InsectERA Mobilising Agenda organised another Show Cooking session, this time with the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril and Quinta da Ribeirinha.
In the Innovating Gastronomy session, Chef Rui Mota and the first-year master's students presented the audience with three delicacies that had been developed in detail to combine flavours, nutrients and textures in a pairing made by Cesar Marques, Quinta da Ribeirinha's winemaker, through a careful selection of wines.
Although the bar continues to rise with each session held, it is hoped that 2025 will surprise us with more and better activities to publicise the Agenda, making it InsectERA's big year at FNA!

Foi feita a análise ao desenvolvimento do projeto. Foi aprovada a realização do I Congresso InsectERA.

O primeiro Show Cooking organizado pela Agenda Mobilizadora Insectera, durante a Feira Nacional de Agricultura - Feira do Ribatejo, teve a participação da EPVT Escola Profissional do Vale do Tejo que confecionou três iguarias, com farinhas de insetos produzidas pela The Cricket Farming Co. e pela Thunder Foods. Esta sessão de degustação contou com a harmonização das iguarias com os vinhos Tejo da Quinta do Arrobe.
Agradecemos aos Chefs José Pereirinha e Bruno Povas, da Escola Profissional Vale do Tejo, bem como à Regina Almeida, da Quinta do Arrobe, por terem aceitado este desafio de trazer à Feira do Ribatejo mais uma sessão de inovação na gastronomia.

The first Show Cooking organised by the InsectERA Mobilising Agenda during FNA24 was attended by the Vale do Tejo Professional School, which prepared three delicacies using insect flour produced by The Cricket Farming Company and Thunder Foods. This tasting session included the harmonisation of the delicacies with Tejo wines from Quinta do Arrobe.
We would like to thank Chefs José Pereirinha and Bruno Povas, from the Vale do Tejo Professional School, as well as Regina Almeida, from Quinta do Arrobe, for taking on the challenge of bringing another innovative gastronomy session to the Ribatejo Fair.

A Feira Nacional do Porco, que se realiza de 16 a 18 de maio, no Montijo, contará com uma forte presença da Agenda Mobilizadora InsectERA, através do seu parceiro, a IACA.
No decorrer do certame, mais propriamente no dia 17, realizar-se a partir das 15:00h, um seminário sobre este novo setor bioindustrial. António Campos, da Agenda, irá fazer a sua apresentação, Tiago Mariano, do FeedInov, fará a apresentação do Eixo Infeed na Agenda InsectERA, Divanildo Monteiro, da UTAD, abordará a utilização de óleo e de farinha desengordurada de BSF na alimentação de leitões, seguindo-se uma mesa redonda com os oradores e José Manuel Costa, em representação da DGAV. Daniel Murta, Presidente da CE da Agenda Mobilizadora InsectERA, fará o encerramento do seminário.

A Agenda Mobilizadora InsectERA fez-se representar pelo presidente da comissão executiva, Daniel Murta, na Reunião Geral da Indústria, organizada pela IACA.
Apresentou o tema “O Setor Bioindustrial dos insetos”, inserido no programa “Insetos: A proteína do Futuro?”
Este evento contou com a presença de dois membros do consórcio, a DGAV representada pelo Tiago Magalhães e a Universidade Católica pela Bruna Filipa Faria que debateram temas relacionados com a utilização de proteína de inseto na alimentação animal.
